Vintage Berry Monogram Cross Stitch Pattern

I have just finished re-charting one of those old French cross stitch alphabet patterns. Thin, delicate letters are designed like stems and berries. Very classy 2-color floss combination allows you to create many color variations, using matching or contrasting color floss. You can pick up one letter and embroider it as a monogram in a nice frame, or choose two ones for the initials, or even combine letters in a name – it’s all up to you!

You can buy the pattern HERE .

"Gentle Roses" Wall Plaque

I think it is time to put "Christmas-getting-ready-for" posts aside for a while and share some other nice things with you :))
I am so fond of Sonie Ames's designs! (you can find some info about her HERE ). They are so nice and gentle, so colorful and real-looking, so peaceful and comforting... They are just great for decoupage, especially for romantic interiors. I have found two color-scheme variants of the same picture (warm / cool) and decided to make two wall plaques using them. So, here comes the first one :))

"Gentle Roses" Wall Plaque (warm colors). Handmade. Decoupage.
Size: 20 x 20 x 1,8 cm.

And the second one :))

"Gentle Roses" Wall Plaque (cool colors). Handmade. Decoupage.
Size: 20 x 20 x 1,8 cm.
Well, I really love them both!

My husband and I were very lucky to get different color Jacquard fabrics from this edition. They are sooo festive and Christmas :))) Of course, when we saw them we knew already what they were going to become - Christmas tablecloths! And here comes the first one - deep-sea-green one ;)))

Christmas Holly Biscornu (Pincushion)

I am so fond of Holly plants but unfortunately we do not have them growing here. Well, what can I do? You are right! I can make a Christmas biscornu, using this nice cross stitch pattern. Actually, I made two pincushions using two different color schemes (1) green + dark green + dark red and  (2) blue + dark blue + plum, but I had to send one of them for a Christmas gift ASAP, so I do not have any photos of it left. But I still have mine! And I am very glad to share it with you :)))

Christmas Horse

While looking for a picture for my next christmas magnet I spotted this one. I have loved horses for all my life. When I was about 7 years old I dreamed of having my own horse (the more, the better). I am still very fond of horses and I can even ride them and take care of them :))) Well-well, Katarina, get to the pont! This picture combines my love for horses with Christmas celebrating. What do we see here? Horse stables decorated with christmas apple-garland, an elegant white Arabian horse (I am sure it is Arabian) dressed up with a christmas rosette. This graceful horse is accompanied by a brave young curious kitten. Well, I am sure these pets are really loved :))
And, at last, there comes the magnet!

Family Christmas

I decided to pick up this picture for my next christmas magnet. Large house for a large friendly family. It looks so christmas with its brightly lit windows. Fluffly sparkling white snow on the roofs, on the trees, on the ground. A happy snowman looking at the nicely ornamented christmas-tree. Christmas wreath hanging near the front door. Nice spacious chimney for Santa to get in freely :))) And all this resembles our own house so closely that I just could not skip this picture among lots of others. There it is!
P.S. And I am very proud of the gift-box I have made. It looks soooo frosted, even icy, wow :)))

Angel and Snowman

One more magnet with the same angel-series picture. It is so nice and pleasant, so christmas-warm and inspiring. Having it on the fridge always puts my Mom into festive mood. I decided to place the picture on a gentle-green background and added some shadows to give it some volume to look real. And there it is!

Angel and Robin

My next Christmas Collection magnet. I particularly liked this picture because we have some Robins coming here in spring, and they are so nice and delicate birds (and they also sing very lovely). They leave our place in autumn and it is always a bit sad, so I decided to have our own Robin at home in winter :))) I also like this angel picture series, they are so vintage. And we do not have Holly plants growing here, so I decided to have one, too. And this is it!

Tilda-Doll Angel

Ta-dam))) I have just finished my first Christmas magnet (I mean, first for this coming Christmas). It was my sister’s order to be given to her godson. While thinking over the image she would like, I just browsed Google-pictures using country angel key words - and here you are to choose freely! I particularly liked this very picture (there were also some more of the type). The picture quality was not very nice, so I had to "clear" the background and then replace it by another one to match the color scheme. I also add some “volume” to the angel for it to look plump like real tilda-dolls. Actually, I used this picture to make two magnet variants – with matte and glossy acrylic finish. Well, the matte one looked really vintage, and the glossy one was so shiny and festive)) I liked them both :)) Both ones are now living in their new homes.
